Breakfast Items

The Outpost is known for their hearty and delicious breakfasts that will satisfy every diner - young and old. Stop in for a stack of pancakes with eggs for $5-$7.

For a unique twist on a traditional breakfast dish, try out the biscuits with CHOCOLATE gravy with bacon and sausage. Who would have thought that chocolate could become gravy?

Egg lovers will be thrilled by their list of options for omelets including the Garden Omelet. We're looking forward to hearing what your favorite menu item is after your visit to The Outpost.

Lunch & Dinner Menu

After a day on the lake at Pickwick, you'll be ready to dive into a hearty lunch or dinner at the Outpost.

Guests commonly recommend the Outpost Spud as a favorite for lunch. Try out this baked potato stuffed with pork or chicken with a house white sauce and BBQ sauce.

For a more traditional option, try the BLT sandwich or Outpost Burger. You can't go wrong with any of the menu options.

Fun fact - The Outpost was created as a ministry to raise funds for Balance Life, a non-profit organization. The Outpost's mission is to provide work opportunities for people transitioning back into society. Your dining dollars help to support their mission.

I loved this place!!! The "Philadelphia cheese steak" was the most delicious " French dip" I've ever had. I was very pleased with it. The fries were unique disc shaped potatoes cooked to perfection. The sweet tea was awesome, too. It was nice to walk around after lunch and visit the stores and sit on the tree swing and explore the various western motif buildings that you'd expect at an outpost. The onsite wood carving shack was amazing!

Food is worth the hour drive from our house and it's a really unique setting. Great place to take visiting family for breakfast or lunch. The staff for the most part is really friendly except for our last visit but everyone has a bad day now and then but won't stop us from returning.

Stopped by yesterday and bought a 2 inch thick ribeye, a giant baking potato, and a coconut cream pie. Came home and grilled the steak and baked the potato. My wife and I couldn't quite finish. A little later we enjoyed a piece of the coconut cream pie with a cup of coffee. Our best birthday meal ever. Happy birthday Lori. Looking forward one day to try the food on site. We will be back.👍

The property and restaurant were beautiful...very sweet, friendly staff...the salad bar was clean, good options and fresh, my sweet tea was so good, my baked potato was perfect but my hamburger steak was a complete disappointment...two very thin, dry hamburger patties - that's not a hamburger steak! But overall - a nice experience

We have been several times. We love their Hog Fries with Cheese, the Pork Nachos, Banana Pudding, and some of the best smoked ribs you’ll find anywhere. Service was friendly and prompt. Wait time is usually short, but let them know ahead of time if you have a group coming.

Fred, one of the employees went out of his way to show my wife and I around and explain the story behind the Outpost. Great guy!
